6 years ago today I lost my Mum. I always think that saying you lost someone implies a certain amount of carelessness on your part (there wasn’t) but it’s less harsh than the d-word so I think I’ll stick with it. We decided that this year we’d put mourning gently to one side, and instead commemorate her in a way which she would heartily approve of - with cake. This one’s for you Mum xx
